Game Development

Participate in our 7-hour Game Development Jam, where teams will create PC games based on a designated theme! This competition fosters collaboration and helps students enhance their game development skills through hands-on experience. Participants will refine their problem-solving abilities and showcase their creativity and technical expertise while completing projects under time constraints, simulating real-world game development scenarios. Join us to bring your game ideas to life!

Mechanics

• Teams will participate in a 7-hour game development challenge to create a PC game based on a theme.
• Participants can use Unity Game Engine 2023 LTS or Godot Engine 4, with access to tools like Blender, Audacity, Krita, and Visual Studio.
• Games will be judged on theme adherence (30%), gameplay experience (20%), innovation (20%), and technical execution (30%).
• AI-generated assets and pre-made internet resources are allowed, but AI-generated code is strictly prohibited.
• Each team must bring one laptop and is encouraged to create assets in advance after receiving the theme via email.
• Teams can take breaks during development, with officials monitoring their progress.
• Projects must be submitted via GitHub, and teams must present a 3-4 minute demo on-site..
• At least one team representative must be present within 10 minutes of the official start time to avoid disqualification.
